Psilocybin Facilitation Questions

Individuals who are at least 21 years old and have a desire to become a faith-based psilocybin facilitator are eligible to enroll. 

No, all that is required is a desire to be in this vocation.  Oregon is currently the only state with laws pertaining to legal psilocybin facilitation and the regulations say all that is required is successful completion of a state-approved training program, passing an exam, and paying the fees. 

Yes, anyone from anywhere is welcome to participate in the online course, residency, and practicum, to learn to be a responsible psilocybin facilitator.  Your ability to legally facilitate, however, will depend upon the legal status of psilocybin in the state in which you wish to do so.  

Not until 2025.  Oregon has restricted facilitator licensure for the first 2 years to Oregon residents.  Out-of-state graduates would not be eligible until 2025, however in Colorado, California, Washington, and Massachusetts, as well as on a federal level, motivations have been expressed toward legalization, so we intend to very quickly expand into other areas as the option becomes available.  

The Facilitator Training Program requires a total of 160 hours of instruction, which includes online training, in-person residency, and practicum study. 

The online training component consists of 60 hours of instruction, which includes articles, essays, lectures, videos, poems, demonstrations, quizzes, and writing assignments.

It is anticipated that it will take approximately 2-3 months to complete the online training component. 

 The in-person training component consists of 60-hours of immersive learning with other experienced facilitators and students. This portion of the training includes group activities, interactive discussions, and other experiential learning opportunities, allowing students to develop their skills and knowledge in a collaborative and supportive environment.  These residencies are scheduled as 10-day in-person intensives.  

 The practicum component consists of an additional 40 hours of supervised learning in practicum, which allows students to deepen their understanding of the material and apply their knowledge in practical ways.
